1. Pick a character, pairing, or fandom you like.
2. Turn on your music player and put it on random/shuffle.
3. Write a drabble related to each song that plays. You only have the time frame of the song to finish the drabble; you start when the song starts, and stop when it’s over. No lingering afterwards!
4. Do ten of these, then post them.
Now I'm doing Eyeshield 21.
1. Triplane - Dear Friends
It was over. Everything they'd worked for, everything they'd hoped for, all of it, was voer.
It was glorious.
The crowd's cheering had reached a fever pitch as the clock ticked over, ending the game. The score: Thirty-five Teikoku, Thirty-Six Deimon.
Kurita was bawling like a baby. He'd dreamed of playing in the Christmas Bowl, but never had he dared to imagine that not only would they get there, they would win against the unstoppable Alexanders. He cried tears of happiness as he fell to the muddy ground.
"M-Master!" Komusubi shouted in concern, walking up to him.
"Oh, Kumosubi!" Kurita said happily. "It's over for us now, and it couldn't be any better. Now, next year, YOU have to protect everybody instead."
"S-Successor!"
2. Tsuneo Imahori - Fool's Paradise
The world was...different, now. People treated Sena with respect. Before, when walking down the street he would have to cower from at least three older boys who would glare at him until he got out of the way, now they nodded at him and smiled. Sometimes one would ask for his autograph, which always confused him.
And Sena was different too. He felt more sure of himself. He smiled more. When people tried to bully him (as some people still did), he didn't let them anymore.
He was happier. And, watching him, Mamori mentally kicked herself for trying to get him to quit the team int eh first place.
3. Masterplan - After This War
"What are you going to do once this season is over, Hiruma?"
Hiruma made a noise that was a cross between annoyed and inquisitive, and raised an eyebrow at Mamori. She clarified:
"This is your last year with the team. As far as I can tell, you don't do anything with your time but football. What are you going to do once you can't do that?"
Hiruma laughed. "Kekeke, fucking Manager. I'll worry about that once we've fucking won the championship. Don't think about unneccessary stuff."
4. Ben Houge - Wilderness
The view from the top of the mountain really was spectacular. Sakuraba took a second to admire it, leaning heavily on a tree as he tried to catch his breath.
From up here, he could see incredibly far. He could see the city of Tokyo spread out below him, and the trees and forests and...he could also see Shin, who had already made it halfway back down the mountain.
"Good grief, he's a machine," Sakuraba said as he followed.
5. Newsboys - Million Pieces
Mamori stood in shock, watching as Eyeshield removed his trademark mask and..."Sena? How is that...no, you can't be..."
"I'm sorry I didn't tell you earlier," Sena said, and then turned and strode out onto the field.
Mamori sat down, still in shock. Waves of guilt washed over her, as she realized how she had been trying to hold him back. She covered her mouth with her hands, as tears leaked from her eyes. How could she have been so stupid? How could she have missed it?
And underneath of all the self-recrimination was a tiny part of her mind that was breathing out a sigh of relief that it would no longer have to pretend not to notice what Sena was doing.
6. Baten Kaitos - Splash of Opposition
"Shit! Shit shit shit! Timeout!" Hiruma called out to the referee, and the team quickly assembled.
As soon as they were huddled, Hiruma glared at Sena. "What the fuck do you think you're doing out there, Fucking Shorty?"
"I'm sorry, I just can't get past him! He's too strong!"
7. The Idiot
"Oh sister dearest~" Natsuhiko shouted as he pulled open the door to Suzuna's room, spnning inside gracefully. "Have you seen the television remote? I can't find it anywher-"
He stopped talking as he finally opened his eyes and saw not one but two people in his sister's bed. And the small piles of clothing that were scattered around it.
Suzuna's face reddened for a moment, and then she tore out of bed, threw him to the floor, and began stomping on his back with the rollerblades while Sena tried to pull her off of him.
8. djPretzel - Booster Tarantino
The moment he walked in the door, the receptionist at the casino had hit the silent alarm. By the time he approached the desk, large gorilla-shaped guards had emerged from wherever they hide when they ren't needed and surrounded him. They knew exactly what the situation was. There was a special alarm specifically for him.
"I'm sorry, sir, but by ruling of the management, you are not welcome in this establishment," the receptionist said nervously.
Hiruma grinned wickedly, and pulled out the Threat Notebook. "Let's see, your name is what, again?"
9. Tom Lips - Still Drinkin'
Musashi took another sip of his beer. He felt like he should be drinking it faster than this, but he didn't have the money for much booze (too much of it went to his dad's medical expenses), so he tried to make what he had last for as long as he could.
"You come here often?"
He looked to his right, and saw a--not entirely unattractive--young woman sitting beside him.
"From time to time." Whenever he had the money for it. Whenever his dad's attitude and health problems got so bad that Musashi needed some relief from the stress. He was underage, but nobody ever carded him. From time to time, he just...needed to escape for a while. Like he used to be able to do with football.
10. Great Big Sea - Haven't Seen You in a Long Time
Maruko came back from college to visit, midway through the year. She hadn't even bothered to call at Marco's house; She already knew where he would be. Instead, she walked over to the Hakushuu football field, and sat in the bleachers, watching the practice.
It was Gaou who noticed her. He tapped Marco on the shoulder, and pointed up into the stands. Marco turned, saw her, started slightly, and then sauntered over, trying to look suave.
Maruko giggled at his posturing. Some things never changed.
