Basically Kishimoto created Killerbee, the best character since Rock Lee, and then pitted him against Sasuke whereupon he completely ruins Sasuke's shit for like a month, which was GLORIOUS. Then Kishimoto realizes that he's sort of written himself into a corner because he wants Sasuke to win, and so has Sasuke one-shot him in incredibly terrible and anticlimatic fashion, and gives him a new ability so that the process of oneshotting doesn't kill Killerbee like it should have (Sasuke was trying to take him alive).
Incidentally it took me about five minutes to figure out a way for Sasuke to conceivably win that wouldn't have been horrible.
Basically the first step is to bug the fuck out and get some distance between himself and Killerbee, hopefully buy some time to recuperate. Then have Sasuke lead him into a narrow valley or canyon, and set the walls on fire with Amaterasu (and for preference cut off the route behind him). That way he can't transform into the full Oxtopus form, because doing so would mean getting burnt by the black flames. That puts his full power under wraps.
Admittedly, Killerbee was still ruining their shit without going full Oxtopus, but it could easily be made plausible. Just off thed top of my head, Sasuke can keep him off-balance with Tsukiyomi (it isn't fully effective on him, but it does knock him off balance for a moment) while the other three jump him.

Frankly, I'm more pissed about Naruto stealing Sakura's super-strength.
