You can't have a CHILD OF PROPHECY and a destiny-defier be the same fucking character, it's just...it doesn't work!


YES. THIS. It's just... it it totally undermines on of the most definitive characterisitics of Naruto (and along with the insane power-ups that Naruto is getting) make him so... unsatisfying as a hero. I mean, Naruto-types are never my favorites (although I can love them as secondary characters, a la Black Star) but by taking away the underdog aspect of his character, you stopped rooting for him as hard (or totally).
