*chuckle* Yes, stand tall and proud against those people with umbrellas who want to take away your family.
(What is it with the pervasive idea that this is a matter of gay families VS. straight families? Honestly, only the anti-camp seems to think that way.)
I'd love it if the cameras would zoom out and let us see the bigger context of what those people were protesting, because it looked like some kind of rally and I doubt that guerrilla groups of LGBT-and-allies are prowling the idyllic parks of America with umbrellas, singling out happy nuclear families to silently surround and loom over like an ominous living Stonehenge reenactment.
I don't think bringing up her race is appropriate here. It's not really relevant to anything, and her position on gay marriage doesn't imply what her positions on immigration policy are.
...Riiiiiight. Lady, if you're intimidated by umbrellas? And people standing around, uh. Just. Never move to the Pacific Northwest, 'cause it sounds like you have a fear of umbrellas, not gay people.
AAAAAH HOW DO PEOPLE FIND THIS MUCH KOOL-AID I DON'T EVEN.
She was scared of seven or eight men standing twenty feet away from her with colorful umbrellas? Her kids probably got a kick out of it. I have to give them credit for picking a Hispanic woman to use the word "family" nineteen times - sort of a "LOOK AT US WE LOVE EVERYONE EVEN MINORITIES UNLESS YOU'RE A FAG" move. But really, there's just...there's just no trauma here, no threat, no story. This is tamer by miles than the shit NOM folks pull at LGBT demonstrations, rallies, and parades. It's comforting to know, at least, that they really don't have a leg to stand on and that anyone who actually gets up in arms over this will already have been a hate-mongering douchecanoe in the first place.
I'm also not impressed by her horror at their alleged refusal to turn around when she wanted to breastfeed her kid. If you don't want people looking at you when you whip your tit out in public, don't do it in public. So much entitlement in such a short video...
I'm having a hard time deciding which is more awesome, the guy randomly holding the flag behind the woman during her halting explanation of the horror of having her view blocked by the "Gay Agenda" or the re-enactment of said Gay Agenda. I'm not sure it's as iconic as the gay storm, but as far as sheer, unadulterated dumb, I've gotta' totally agree with you on this one.
I just. I kept waiting for her to get past the preamble to get to what actual 'harassment' had occurred. And then she never did!
You'd think that NOM could find some pissed off, drunk gay activist to provoke into doing something they could blow out of proportion. This is just desperate. And a bit sad.

Honestly I don't think they could've summarized their overall grievance any better than they did by this ad. Some people did something I don't like that, even though it didn't harm me or anybody else, I think is just awful and they gotta' be stopped.

*world's tiniest violin*
I love her husband(?) in the background waving the American flag. Real subtle, NOM.

That should be NOM's next video lol. EVEN THE UMBRELLAS WILL NOT PROTECT YOU FROM THE COMING GAY PEOPLE STORM, FOR THEY'RE IN ON IT TOO.
