What. The. Hell

I understand Sesame Street making the effort. Its very nice of them. Terrific. Wonderful. Whatever.
What I really hate about this and other things of similar nature is how they take the responsibility for the children away from parents. They send the message that it's not the PARENT'S fault if they're child goes wrong; Its some other, external influence.
Even when I agree with the action, such as when the large game store chains recently decided to actually make it policy to enforce ESRB ratings(Did you hear that? That's the sound of my twelve-year-old self rolling over in his grave), I cringe when I think of the message this is sending. Bugger what the media's telling kids-a parent can easily undo any damage electronics perform.
However, this type of action gets parents off the hook. They no longer have to worry about cookie monster; They can set their kids down in front of the television again without fear, and go back to talking with their lawyer about the frivolous lawsuits they'll be filing with video game companies this week.
Handsfree parenting! They should market it. They'd make a killing.
Now, with that out of the way, you should all check out the RadioSirens (http://www.radiosirens.com). They're really good. The website's not too spiffy right now, but that'll be changing soon. They're a trio of really, really talented singers. I saw them at concert last week, and it was incredible.
