I'm sure I'm not the only one to have noticed this, but for some reason the Avatar fandom seems to have a lack of love for the ladylove. By which I mean that there's basically no femslash content. At all. Despite the canon practically feeding it to us on a silver platter, with a cherry on top.

What's the deal, fandom?

So, in an attempt to counteract this, I am starting up the one, the only...

AVATAR: THE LAST AIRBENDER FEMSLASH MEME

How does it work? Well, it works like this:

--> People post requests. These requests should be posted in the following format:

Pairing/Threesome/Moresome: (The characters and relationships involved. Must be femslash, obviously. Which means any two ladies from Avatar. Katara/Toph, Ty Lee/Azula, Jun/Lily, it's all good)
Prompt: (A sentence, word, phrase, whatever. Something for the writer to go on. Be as specific or vague as you'd like, but vague is generally better)
Porn: Yes/No/Fishstick (If you specifically want porn, put Yes in this field. If you specifically do NOT want porn, put No in this field. If you don't care and will take either, put Fishstick)
Other: (Any other relevant information goes here)

Requests can be anonymous, or they can be signed. IP logging is off.

--> People fulfill requests. That means they reply to the request with a fanwork for the pairing that matches the prompt and any other information given. Fic, art, whatever, it's all good. Again, these can be posted anonymously or signed, and IP Logging is off. It's better if it's signed, though, so we can tell who to thank.

A few things to remember:

1. Please fill at least as many requests as you make. I hope I don't need to explain why this is necessary. If everybody's requesting and nobody's filling, the meme dies.
2. Please prioritize older requests over new ones. I'm not telling you which ones to fill, but if there's an unfilled request on page one, and an unfilled request on page five, and you're equally inspired by both...please fill the old one first. That requester's been waiting around for longer.
3. Please prioritized unfilled requests over filled ones. If there's a prompt in there that really gets your creative juices flowing, but someone else has already filled it...well, then go ahead, man! Fill it anyway! The requester'll be overjoyed to get two pieces for it. But if there's an unfilled request that you could also be doing...please do that one. Remember, we're trying to share the love as widely as possible.

Other: I'd love a scene where Zuko comes in to heat Toph's bath water, and sees that Katara is in the tub with Toph.

Being new to the group was somewhat frustrating, to say the least. Granted, Zuko was grateful that after the Boiling Rock prison break he was no longer cast with the distrusting glances, the mutter of hushed whispers in his presence now that he was unquestionably on their side. But it didn't keep the others from saddling him with a bit more work than everyone else (part of Zuko admitted to himself that it was the absolute least he could be expected to endure for his past interactions with them), and the one thing that he was always expected to do, especially during the chilly summer evenings, was to keep the stone baths in a deeper part of the Western Air Temple from turning to pools of ice.

It was with this in mind that Toph had called him to the baths that night, a smirk on her face as she watched him reluctantly climb out of bed, as though she was enjoying torturing him for what he'd done to her feet. By the time he'd climbed the stairway to the upper part of the main temple, still rubbing his eyes and grumbling about the interruption, he was surprised to find that Toph wasn't alone.

Katara was there in the bath with her, leaning against the carved stone with her back to the entrance, tresses of elegant dark hair spilling across cocoa skin. The shorter Earthbender was seated on her right, and Zuko was struck by the impossibly long sheet of black that pooled over her shoulders like a cloak; it somehow made the brash girl seem much older, more mature, even more confident than normal. The two Benders were talking closely to one another, whispering things that provoked giggles and playful grins. Zuko assumed they were simply visiting, talking the way that good friends do until he caught the suggestive inflection in Toph's voice, the touch of red on Katara's face and a look in her blue eyes that he could only describe-- having seen it from Mai himself-- as adoration.

Zuko suddenly felt uneasy, as if he wasn't supposed to be here, and began wondering when Toph was going to acknowledge his presence; she must have heard him already. But if Toph knew he was there she made no indication-- she seemed oblivious to everything but Katara.

Oooh, great imagery. I adore the image of Toph with her hair down, making her look older, and I can totally see Katara and Toph leaning towards each other like that. Very, very nice.

Without any warning the distance between the two masters closed and Toph's lips were firmly on Katara's, whose hazy blue eyes slid shut as the kiss deepened. For his part, Zuko was utterly bewildered; it was like a fantasy of some kind, except that they were kissing too passionately, their hands moved over each other's bare skin with too much experienced and careful knowledge, and if Zuko revealed himself now he doubted he'd recieve a flustered invitation to join in and would more likely than not end up once more at the recieving end of Katara's bloodlust; considering that she'd just been able for forgive him for his trespasses, that was a possibility he didn't want to entertain, but even so he couldn't have moved if he wanted to.

Katara's fingers became entangled in dark hair as she pressed her lips along Toph's pale throat, muttering sweet nothings as she bit and suckled voraciously. But all too soon Toph had put a stop to the Waterbender's wandering hands, and then she was straddling Katara, tweaking a nipple between a skilled finger and thumb while she lavished the other with kisses, literally making the older girl melt at the contact.

In all the time Zuko had been face to face with Katara he had acknowledged that she was unrelenting by nature, a more-than-capable warrior who would bend to no one, much less yield to even the most incredible odds. The sight of her like this-- overwhelmed with pleasure, eyes shut tight as a string of ecstatic groans slid out of her throat, being utterly dominated and loving every moment of it-- was so unreal that part of him wondered if he was witnessing the real Katara for the first time.

In moments Katara had yielded completely to Toph, her hands gripping the sides of the bath as hard as she could, as if doing so was the only thing keeping her sane under the younger girl's demanding caress. And then suddenly Katara was calling her name in a low, wanton moan, her body arching into Toph as she bit into the dark skin of her left breast. Katara suddenly went slack after being brought to her peak, her blue eyes rolling behind half-shut lids as she gasped desperately for air, sweat running down her skin in rivulets that Toph eagerly lapped up. Sensing a chance to get away, Zuko slowly began moving backwards.

But he'd forgotten that even one step was enough to alert Toph, who suddenly sprung to attention as Katara got her second wind back, calling the Firebender's name incredulously, making Katara turn back to the entrance.

Katara and Zuko locked eyes for a moment, the embarrassment on her face quickly replaced by unspeakable fury. Zuko only saw the beginning of a torrent of water rising up at Katara's livid command before he turned on his heel and ran for his life.

I love the physicality of this; Katara gripping the tub, Toph biting at her breast. Also, it cracks me up to think of Zuko thinking of the two of them, and knowing this isn't a fantasy by the fact that these girls know what they're doing.
