OK SO. I always have characters that I want to write fic for, but no idea what to write. So, here's what I'm going to do.
I'm going to post ten characters, numbered 0-9. Comment to this post with a prompt. I'll take the last digit of your comment's number (it's in the comment's URL) and reply with a short fic for the character that number corresponds to, using the prompt you give.
0. Retsu Unohana (Bleach)
1. Yachiru Kusajishi (Bleach)
2. Ikkaku Madarame (Bleach)
3. Shino Aburame (Naruto)
4. Neji Hyuuga (Naruto)
5. Loke (Fairy Tail)
6. Reitei Leon (Fairy Tail)
7. Nice Holystone (Baccano!)

"Simon," he said as he approached them, "I've got those reports you wanted, on the construction projects on the outskirts of the city."
Simon turned to face him. "Ah, Leeron!" he said as he took the documents from him. "Thank you. I've been waiting for those."
"So," Leeron said as he scuttled in between them, "I didn't interrupt a tender moment, did I? Some sort of tete-a-tete, or perhaps...a confession of love?"
Rossiu and Simon shared a quick look of sheer dismay.
"No, nothing like that," Simon laughed. "We were just looking at the city."
"Not that it's much of a city yet," Rossiu added. "Not like what Teppelin was before Lord Genome dropped it on us."
Leeron looked past them, out to the skyline. Meagre though it was, the lights on top of those newly-erected towers shone brightly against the night sky, as if declaring their existence and defying the universe to do something about it. "Considering how short of a time it's been since we defeated him," he said, "I think you boys have done a great job rebuilding."
Simon looked embarrassed by the praise. "Well, it was mostly Rossiu," he said. "I'm not very good with that sort of thing. Plans and organizing and stuff."
Rossiu didn't want to take credit, either. "It wasn't very difficult," he said. "Now that we don't have to worry about the Beastmen, we have almost unlimited resources at our disposal. It was a simple matter to use them productively."
"True," Leeron said, "but those resources won't last forever."
Rossiu raised an eyebrow at him. "What do you mean?"
"Well, we've got plenty for now," Leeron explained, "but you can see already how quickly the population and city are growing, now that there's no restrictions. Although the planet's big, and has a lot of resources, eventually the human race will get so big that it can't sustain us any longer."
Rossiu looked back out to the city, troubled. "Yes..."
Simon grinned. "Well, if it comes to that, we'll just have to go somewhere else," he said. "Maybe to the moon, or one of those stars. We can't go backwards, so we've got to go forward: That's how we do things, right, Ron?"
"Well said," Leeron said. He shivered. "It's too cold up here. Let's head back inside."
"Right, " Simon said. "Come on, Rossiu, let's go."
"In a minute," Rossiu said. "I want to have another look before I go back."
Simona and Leeron walked back towards the door, leaving Rossiu behind. Rossiu stared out at the cityscape, and frowned.

"Geeze, man," Gray said as he leaped over a blast from Loke's magic ring. "What did I do?"
"The girl, you buffoon! Do you have any idea who she was?"
"Um." Gray considered the possibilities. She had been blonde, tall, and... "Nope," he admitted as he ducked under another burst of magical power. "No idea."
"She was Michelle Lakes!" Loke shouted as he lashed out with his left first. Gray narrowly avoided the punch.
"Who?"
"Top model for three years running?" Loke said incredulously. "Voted sexiest woman alive by Citizen magazine? Incredibly famous celebrity? How can you not have heard of her?"
"I dunno," Gray said as he created an ice ramp to climb up onto a rooftop. Loke followed him up it.
"Two months!" Loke wailed. "Two months of wooing her. And just when I'm getting somewhere, what happens?"
"Look, I needed some underwear," Gray said. "I can't just run around naked!"
Letting loose with a cry that hovered between rage and despair, Loke slammed his ring into the roof between them, setting off an explosion that sent pieces of shingles flying in all directions.

Too bad you don't read Bleach, heh.
car in front of them. The shriek of metal on metal echoed through the street as she
finally, belatedly, hit the brakes and stopped.
"Vice-Captain!' he hissed as he turned to her. "This is why I told you to let me drive."
Yachiru stuck her tongue out at him. "You're too stupid to do it, Baldy," she said.
"At least I'm tall enough to see over the steering wheel!" he shot back, choosing to ignore the 'Baldy' crack for the time being. "Now those humans are going to ask about insurance. We don't have any fucking insurance! I'm not even sure what insurance is!"
"Aww, it'll be fine," Yachiru said. "Oh look, he's getting out of his car!"
"Great, just great! I should have known better than to...go...with..."
He trailed off as he saw the back of the man who had stepped out of the vehicle ahead of them. That brown hair, that frame...and the silver haired man stepping out of the passenger seat...
"Holy shit!" Ikkaku shouted, throwing open the door and jumping out of the car. He drew his sword, only to belatedly remember that it was made of wood, as he was currently inhabiting a Gigai. He pointed it at the driver of the other vehicle anyways, put on his best intimidating face, and growled, "What the hell are you two doing here?"
"Taking a drive around the neighbourhood," Aizen answered calmly as he walked to the back of his car. "You really should watch the road."
"It wasn't really an option in our case," Ikkaku said, taking a moment to give Yachiru another sidelong glare.
Yachiru stood on her seat and leaned out the window, waving cheerfully at the two traitorous captains. "Hi, Foureyes! Hi, Squinty!"
"Ah, Vice-Captain Kusajishi," Ichimaru Gin said, bowing slightly. "How good to see you again."
Ikakku snorted. "Enough talk! You want a fight, or what?"
Gin grinned at him. "My, my, Madarame, how rude of you," he said. "All we want is to sort out our little accident and be on our way."
Behind him, Tousen poked his head out of the rear window. "Can we get moving, please?" he asked.
"I believe we can," Aizen said. "There doesn't seem to be any real damage. No need to, say, inform the insurance companies, correct?"
"Uh, right," Ikkaku said, unsure of how to respond.
Both Aizen and Gin returned to their vehicle. "See you around, Vice-Captain Kusajishi," Gin said as they drove off.
"Bye bye!" Yachiru called after him, waving.
Ikkaku's mind took a moment to adjust to the utter surrealness of the scene that had just unfolded in front of him. Then he turned to Yachiru. "Hey, should we have let them escape like that?"
"Ken-chan'd be mad if we killed them," Yachiru said reasonably. "We'd be stealing his fun. Now come on, get in. This time I'm cartain I know where we're going."
