1. Pick a character, pairing, or fandom you like.
2. Turn on your music player and put it on random/shuffle.
3. Write a drabble related to each song that plays. You only have the time frame of the song to finish the drabble; you start when the song starts, and stop when it’s over. No lingering afterwards!
4. Do ten of these, then post them.

NOTE TO SELF: IN THE FUTURE DO THESE WHEN NOT EXHAUSTED

1. Great Big Sea - Helmethead

Loke had a nasty tendency to let his social calender get...overbooked. That was the polite way to say it. The more accurate way would be to say that he was going out with three or more girls at the same time, and had forgotten what exactly what he'd told each of them.

For example, the other day he found himself waiting at the corner to meet with Jessica, only to realize at the last moment that the card in the bouquet of flowers he was holding read 'to Amy'.

2. One Piece - Just Thinking Won't Make It Happen

Natsu coughed as he puled himself back up to his feet, exhaling smoke down towards the ground. 'Shit," he said, "I wasn't expecting a Fire Mole."

He'd been hired to protect the village that stood behind him from the maurauding monsters that occupied the area around it, and hadn't thought to ask what SORT of monsters he might expect to find. To discover that the local breed was fire-resistant was an unpleasant surprise indeed.

3. Gurren Lagann - Track 5

Gray quickly formed an ice platform beneath him, catching him before he struck the ground. He slid along it, but it was a deliberate, and he quickly kicked himself into a spin on his shoulder. He gestured with his hands as he did, sending shards of ice flying in all directions.

He casually regained his footing, stopping the spin by digging his boots into the ice. He looked around for a moment, trying to figure out where the weird shadow-monsters would come at him next, and realize almost too late that they were coming down from above.

"Ice make: hooks!" He fired a line across the cavern, pulling himself out of the way.

4. TWEWY OST - Detonation

It never paid to underestimate bomb magic. It had limited uses, and generally five minutes into a fight you had a feel for how large a blast the mage could summon; but not always, as Erza learned the first time she faced off against one, and he managed to blow off her first armor. After requipping to another and finishing the fight, she made a mental note not to do so again.

5. Five Iron Frenzy - Giants

The enemies (evildoers, Fukurou assured himself), hadn't stood a chance against them. The three members of Trinity Raven had broken down their door, set into them, and within minutes an entire mage guild was either dead, or dying.

"Whoo," Fukurou said, consideringthe carnage they had just wreaked. "What was their crime, again?"

"What the fuck does it matter?" Vithaldas asked, hammering another chord out on his guitar. Fukurou's eyes narrowed. He found his companion somewhat irritating, although proper form demanded that he never let it show.

"They did something our employer didn't like," Ikaruga said. "That's all we need to know."

6. Five iron Frenzy - Where Is Micah?

Mirajane was in a small panic, running from one end of the guild building to the other, asking everyone she met if they had seen Master Makarov. No, they all replied, not since last night.

He wasn't in his room. He wasn't in the main chamber. He wasn't in any of his usual places. Five minutes until his ride to the Guild Masters meeting started, and he was nowhere to be found.

Finally, she asked Loke, and after a moment's consideration he advised her of somewhere else to check: int he basement, where a crack on the floor above let one peek into the girl's washroom.

7. Newsboys - It is You

Gerard's face didn't flicker as Simon gave the week's progress report. It didn't change expressions at all when Simon related the shortage of Lachryma. It didn't even change when Simon suggested--audacity of audacities--that they push back the produciton schedule until such time as they can correct the issues that were plaguing construction.

But behind his face, in the confines of his head, a voice was wailing at him. Hurry, hurry, build the tower. Build it quickly! We have no time for delays, if this fool thinks he can tell us what to do...

Gerard tried to silence it, but it refused to be quiet.

8. Gurren Lagann - Track 19

"Wow," Lucy said as they walked through the underground ruins. She was looking upwards, at the engravings set into the walls, flickering int he lanternlight. They were in some language that she couldn't read, but she was certain that they held great reams of history...

"The engravings are not as pleasant as you might expect," Erza said. "They're a history, and they all relate to the fate this are suffered when Zeref passed through."

Lucy gulped. She'd been worried about ghosts, and that hadn't helped.

9. Mae - The Ocean

Erza stared out at the vast expanse of water. The ocean flickered in the sunset as the waves washed over the shore again and again. It was a comforting sight, somehow, though she could not have said how, exactly.

A hand on her shoulder alerted her to someone's presence behind her, and she quickly turned to see who it was. Gray stood behind her, grinning cockily at her.

"You're slipping, Erza," he said, mocking her a little. "Maybe I should do like Natsu and try to take you on again."

Erza smiled back at him. "If you want to..."

Gray backed up a step, and his expression indicated quite strongly that he had been joking.

10. Last Exile - Requiem In The Air

Lluvia watched Gray from the other side of the Fairy Tail hall. He was aware of her presence now, but he still acted completely oblivious to her. it had broken her heart a little, at first; then she spent a little more time with the people of Fairy Tail.

She had expected them to hold a grudge against her, to reject her, as she had been rejected everywhere else. But to the contrary, once they heard how she and Lucy had trumped one of the Trinity Raven, they accepted her with open arms.

Lluvia looked at the Fairy Tail stamp ont he back of her hand (an exact mirror of Lucy's), and smiled faintly. This place was so warm,a nd friendly...even if she didn't have Gray at the moment, she couldn't find it in her to be anything other than happy.
