Bleach's turn.
1. Great Big Sea - Yarmouth Town
Isshin Kurosaki took another drag on his once-a-year cigarette, and then immediately began coughing up a storm.
"Sorry about that," he told his wife, "I'm a bit out of practice since I stopped, all those years ago."
He grinned. "Remember when we first met? How your parents reacted to me? Oh, that was priceless."
2. Roper - You're Still The One
Isshin was very, very good with small children. Especially his own. Masaki couldn't help but giggle as she watched him chase five-year-old Ichigo around the field, making bizarre faces. Ichigo was screaming, but there was a mile on his face and it was obviously just for dramatic effect.
The chase suddenly carried them dangerously close to where Masaki was sitting, and suddenly they were all lying in a heap. And all of them were laughing.
3. TWEWY - Psychedelic
The club wasn't Chad's usual fare. he glanced aroudn the darkened room dispassionately, trying to ignore the drone the electronic music was making in his ear.
"Come on," Tatsuki said, pulling on him, "you came all the way out here with us. Have some fun!"
"Sorry," Chad said. "I just music that's a little more..." Musical. Has a tune. That he can play along with on his bass. Chad considered a slew of answers before finally deciding not to bother articulating any of them.
4. Last Exile - Brave Willing
The battlefield was a chaos, but Hanatarou kept his head down and tried to keep his wits about him. This time, it wasn't just his life on the line; somewhere out there, someone was waiting for him to come and save them. He didn't have time for being cowardly.
5. Orange Range - Asterisk (LOL)
Ichigo woke up with Rukia on top of him. He'd have been much more worried about the implications of this is it wasn't for the fact that she was int hat position in order to properly slap him awake.
"What the hell are you doing!?" he hissed at her, blocking her next blow. "It's--" he quickly consulted his clock-- "four in the morning! What could possibly be happening that couldn't wait until morning?"
"Hollow," Rukia said simply. Then she slipped the glove on, and pushed it through Ichigo's chest.
Now standing above her, Ichigo still looked significantly annoyed. "You and your damned orders. i can't even get a good night's rest any more."
6. Masterplan - Kind Hearted Light
Aizen's throne was high and mighty. It wasn't the throne he was aiming for; not quite. But it was an acceptable substitute, for the time being. it gave him a little taste of what was to come, and whet his appetite.
From atop the throne, he could see the citizens of Las Noches scurry about their business, like tiny ants performing their duty. it all seemed so perfect that for a moment he couldn't help smile at it.
"And what are you so happy about?" Gin asked.
"I'm just...thinking about Soul Society. And what it's going to look like once I am King," Aizen responded.
7. Five Iron Frenzy - Fistful of Sand
Zaraki Kenpachi roared with delight when the Hollow got up again.
"This one's got some spirit in it!" he said gleefuly, holding his zanpakuto in a ready position and bracing himself to meet its charge. it couldn't atually hurt him, and he knew it, but it wasn't any fun at all if he didn't at least pretend that it was a challenge.
"Can I kill it, Ken-chan?" Yachiru asked from the ground behind him. "Pretty pretty pretty please?"
"Hell no," Kenpachi said. "I ain't finished with him yet."
Yachiru looked disappointed. "You get to have all the fun," she pouted.
"That's why I'm the fucking Captain and you ain't," Zaraki shot back. Then the Hollow finally decided to make its move, and with a loud whoop he split it in two.
8. Baten Kaitos - Enshrined
The Soul Burial is one of the oldest traditions of Soul Society; bu for al its antiquity, there has never been a soul who remembered afterwards what it actually felt like. At best, they can recall faint impressions, but these are always contradictory. Renji remembered a great pool of light, while Byakuya remembered brushing the edge of some great darkness.
9. Masterplan - Back For My Life
Zangetsu stood in the sideways city, and he waited. Ichigo was resting for the moment, but eventually he would call have nee dof the old man, and then Zangetsu would charge into battle once more.
The tranquility was spoiled by the White Thing, which laughed loudly until Zangetsu asked him what exactly he found so humorous.
"It's you, old man!" the White Thing said, pointing at him. "You just keep making him stronger and stronger, and what the fuck difference does it make? He's going to be mine eventually. You're digging your own fucking grave."
Zangetsu went back to ignoring it. That was almost always a better strategy where the White Thing was concerned.
10. Masterplan - Into the Light
The hollow that used to be--was still--Captain Hirako Shinji roared, and charged Urahara down. Its rush was powerful, and fast. But fortunately, it seemed the Hollow did not retain Hirako's intelligence; Urahara pushed it aside carefully, and its charge went wide.
It skidded to a stop and turned to face him again. It charged forward, and this time Urahara met it with his sword, stopping it cold for a moment.
"Come on, Shinji," he said,meeting his friend's black, murderous gaze, "You can beat this thing."
