I'm amazed.

There was nothing wrong with this chapter, aside from one minor page that brought up a thematic derailment that I've beaten into the ground so hard that objecting to this minor example would just be petty. It was well-executed and was actually intelligent and didn't rely on any new bullshit powers.

I can't wait to see how Kishimoto fucks it up again next week.

Extremely old bullshit powers, yeah. I mean, hasn't he been doing the pile-up trick since Zabuza? Forest of Death, at least.

But, yeah, not half bad.

Right from the first chapter, actually, but outside of that one offscreen beatdown against what's-his-name, generic villain from the first chapter, it's the first time it's actually worked. The clone pileon is only ever pulled out to get soundly defeated.

Riiiight. (It's been a long time since I've actually read the first few chapters...) I knew it had been...an early move.

Though, I suppose, he usually manages to work the defeat of it in his favor. Part of the plan, and all that. Though: lol, regular old Rasengan? Feels just a tad anti-climactic.
